How to connect your bluetooth glasses to a laptop

Lucyd Bluetooth glasses are a fantastic accessory that can improve your day-to-day-life. We’ve previously highlighted some of the benefits of Bluetooth glasses and wanted to touch upon the advantages of pairing your Bluetooth glasses to a laptop in this post.

Benefits of pairing your Bluetooth glasses with a laptop

Whether you’re working at the office, traveling across the country, or relaxing at home, pairing your Bluetooth glasses to your laptop is likely the solution you didn’t know you were looking for.

Here are just four ways you can benefit:

Conserves phone battery

If you love listening to music while you work, connect your Bluetooth glasses to your laptop. Conserve your precious phone battery for listening to music or taking calls on your journey home.

Better virtual meeting experience

Whether you’re leading a presentation or attending a work meeting virtually, pairing your Bluetooth glasses to your laptop is a must! You can tune in to the meeting, but still hear everything going on in the background, perfect if you’re a new parent and need to keep an ear out for any crying.

Because your glasses don’t need to be connected to your laptop through a wire, you can move around while giving a presentation or even pop to the kitchen to grab a brew or attend to your child without missing a beat of the meeting.

Improved streaming while traveling

Long journeys are made better thanks to the myriad of streaming services. For example, if you’re traveling by train or are a passenger in someone’s car, you can link your Bluetooth glasses to your laptop and stream away; it’s much better than squinting to see your cell phone screen or holding your phone up all the time.

Enjoy a less cluttered gaming experience

If you’re a pro gamer or even a novice, the last thing you want is to be surrounded by wires getting tangled up and potentially messing up your game. With Bluetooth glasses, you can wave goodbye to cables for good.

How do you pair Bluetooth sunglasses?

Now that we’ve convinced you, here’s how to actually pair your glasses to either a Mac or a Windows laptop. Please remember that these instructions will only work if Bluetooth is compatible with your laptop.

If it’s not, don’t worry. You can invest in a Bluetooth adapter so that you still reap all the benefits of pairing your glasses.

How to pair your Bluetooth glasses to a Mac laptop

  1. Turn on your Bluetooth glasses using the touch controls - press and hold the ‘+’ buttons on both arms of your glasses simultaneously.
  2. Check that Bluetooth is enabled on your Mac by navigating to ‘Settings,’ ‘System Preferences,’ and clicking on ‘Bluetooth.’
    1. An alternative route is to click on the Bluetooth icon in the top menu bar.
  3. Your Bluetooth glasses should now appear on the screen with the name Lucyd and the option to pair.
  4. Select your glasses and click ‘pair.’
  5. Next, you need to enable the sound by navigating back to ‘System Preferences’ and selecting your Bluetooth glasses as the sound output.
  6. You should hear the word ‘connected’ coming from both arms of your glasses.

How to pair your Bluetooth glasses to a Windows laptop

  1. Turn on your Bluetooth glasses using the touch controls - press and hold the ‘+’ buttons on both arms of your glasses simultaneously.
  2. Check that Bluetooth is enabled on your Windows (you can check this using the search bar).
  3. Look for the name Lucyd on your laptop and click ‘pair.’
  4. That’s all! Your glasses should now be connected to your Windows laptop. You should hear the word ‘connected’ coming from both arms of your glasses.

What to do if your Bluetooth glasses don’t pair with your laptop

If pairing fails:

  1. Turn your Bluetooth glasses off by pressing and holding the ‘+’ buttons or both arms of your glasses.
  2. Hold the ‘+’ buttons again for approximately ten seconds to turn them on again.
  3. Repeat the instructions above.

Once connected, your glasses should automatically connect to your laptop via Bluetooth whenever both devices are on, and Bluetooth is enabled.
